Thought i go for this working at 7.00am on the friday morning. Drove down in full morning sun till about five mies from here where it was full dull. Arrived at Ancaster around 9.00 am. Didn't seem in any point of moveing as the cloud was coming from the east, so decided to sit it out. About 30 mins before it was due a blue hole appered to the east and we thought with a bit of luck that patch of blue might just get here in time. As it happened it got here with about 15 mins before the train was due. As usually happens the unit to Skegness pasted in full sun so we had at least another 10 mins to wait. It seemed to be a long 10 mins as the cloud edged closer to the sun. The signalman pulled the signals off and we waited, all the time looking over our shoulders at the cloud. When the train appeared around the corner it seemed to take ages to reach us and all the time thinking the cloud would cover the sun. As it happens 56303 passes through Ancaster while working 6Z56 06:15 Washwood Heath - Boston Docks empty steel working past Ancaster. 11.9.09. By the time the train had cleared the platform it was full cloud. Worth turning the overtime down though.
